Niagara Open Pre-Championship in Memory of Paulina McMaster (Saturday)

• Pre-Championship registration to begin at 8am to dance at 8:30am.
• Randomized dance order for F, S & ST. Reels will be danced in numerical order.

Niagara Open Championship in Memory of Paulina McMaster (Saturday)

• Championship registration to begin at 10:30am to dance at 11am.
• Six Age Groups: 7 & Under 12; 12 & Under 14; 14 & Under 16; 16 & Under 18; 18 & Under 21; 21 & Over
• Sanctioned by the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing.
• 2023 Championship steps must be danced in the Championship Event.
• Randomized dance order for F, S & ST. Reels will be danced in numerical order.

SDTA (ON) Festival (Sunday)

Pre-Premier, Restricted and Non-Restricted Premier  Highland Competition 

• Registration for Beginner at 7:30am to dance at 8am. Starting with the Fling. 
• Primary – PDB, PDB & HC, Fling (4), Sword (2&1) 
• Beginner, Novice and Intermediate – Fling (4), Sword (2&1), ST (3&1) and Lilt (4) 
• Restricted and Non-Restricted Premier – Fling (4), Sword (2&1), ST (3&1) and Lilt (4) 

This competition will offer Premier and Restricted Premier classes according to the rules and regulations of the RSOBHD and ScotDance Canada. A Restricted Premier dancer is defined as one who has not won an overall trophy in a Premier or Restricted Premier class for two (2) years preceding (insert competition date). An overall trophy win is defined as the dancer with the highest total number of points having competed in more than one (1) individual dance in a Premier age category that has 6 or more competitors. Winners of special dances such as a Special Hornpipe or Special Jig, Best-Dressed or Choreography event DO NOT qualify as an overall trophy win. A Championship and Pre-Championship are both considered a Premier event. I fully understand the rules and regulations governing Restricted Premier and/or Premier classes for this event. With this understanding, my preference is indicated via online entry. Failure to indicate a preference will automatically default your competitor status to PREMIER.

SDTA (ON) Festival (Sunday)

Premier National Competition

• Registration will begin at 11:30am. Competition will start at 12:00pm with the Village Maid. 
• Premier – Scotch Measure (4), Flora (4), Village Maid (4) 

Paulina McMaster Memorial Village Maid Dance Off 

• Top 6 dancers from each premier group will be invited to participate in the 6-step Memorial Village Maid. 
• Age Groups: Under 12; 12 & Under 16 Years; 16 Years & Over 

All groups will be split by age according to entries received. Age is as of date of competition. Technique and steps will be judged under RSOBHD regulations. The judge’s decision is final. Awards to two places less than number of dancers to a maximum of six places. Dancers will dance in numerical order.

Entries will close April 7, 2023 at 11:59pm.

CURRENT 2023 SCOTDANCE CARD MUST BE SHOWN TO RECEIVE COMPETITION NUMBER.
